Cross-posted on: Ao3 (Archiveofourown) Account -> blueeblues Summary: People say that when they're about to die, they see a bright light, but Jacob didn't see that light. As a matter of fact, it was just complete darkness for awhile until he came back... with other abilities and visions, of the past, present, and future. Oddly enough, he can't see his own visions. That can't be a good thing. He doesn't know that Fate is holding him on a leash, doesn't know that people would rather see him dead with the power that he has, and doesn't know that his destiny awaits him. Jacob Black was never meant to be ordinary. Born into a powerful lineage of Wolves, he was blessed with ancient magic-magic that made him a target. After the loss of his father, Jacob seeks refuge in the quiet town of Forks, Washington, hoping to escape those who covet his power. But normalcy is short-lived when he crosses paths with the enigmatic Cullen family. One of them, Edward, awakens something deep within Jacob-a connection neither can deny. As secrets unravel and supernatural forces collide, Jacob must decide: will he run from his destiny or embrace the love and war that come with it?
