There's suddenly a tugging sensation in my abdomen.

The knife. He's taking the knife out.

I feel it slide painlessly from my body. The man moves it away from me. Only to move it above my chest. The blade reflecting in the light.

Panic claws at my throat.

"I'm so sorry Adeline. I love you."

21 year old college student Adeline Whitlock lost her childhood fantasies a long time ago. There's no Prince Charming on a white horse to save you from the evil Queen. There's no knight in shining armor to keep you safe from all the evil in the world. Life is simply just not that exciting.

Or so she thought.

Towards the end of her first semester of her third year of college Adeline becomes plagued with horrible nightmares. All of which ends in her either being injured or dead. She ignores them at first, until one day she's followed by a man cloaked in black.

That's the last thing she remembers before waking up in the middle of an unfamiliar forest. Covered in blood.
