Katsumi Fujioka, the cousin of Haruhi Fujioka, had been transferred to live with her uncle and cousin in order to attend school at Ouran Academy. Following Katsumi's mother being arrested, she experienced severe bullying that she took out by rebelling in any way she could. Her father, dissatisfied with Katsumi's behavior, was compelled to shift her high school.

Growing up, Katsumi and Haruhi had remained best friends until age 9 when a turning event had broken apart what should've been a life long friendship.

Now, it is Haruhi's, as well as the other members of the host club's, responsibility to help her overcome everything she's been through and welcome her to the host club.
