This Christmas novel takes place in 2011's fictional town in Australia called St.
Bridgette (St. Bridge) that focuses on a young man by the name of Adam Banks
who was born with Neurofibromatosis, a rare disorder that is associated with an enlarged cranium, blindness in one eye and a tumor on his right leg due to a rare bone cancer that spread when he was just three days old. His mother Janine Pierce was seventeen years old when she had him and was homeless due to her family rejected from her house. Nathan, the father of Adam denied
the baby; and therefore Nathan left both Janine and Adam one week after finding
out she was pregnant. On December 25th 1988 Janine was pushed to have a cesarean section. One hour after having Adam she was pronounced dead. The hospital gets a vistor from had to place him in an orphanage but no parent would adopt him because of his deformities and he later ran to the circus at eighteen years old and moved to an island at 19 years old. His life of isolation, abandonment and abuse comes to an end when he encounters twenty-three year old journalist reporter Melinda Scott. Will Melinda and Adam's friendship be true or is Melinda using him for a story?

Even if the person doesn't want that, she has no choice but to accept it. Neither of them was expecting this to happen.
