Her mum, Danielle Apollo, accepts her for her but  Nyx's dad, Morpheus Apollo, doesn't. He believes girls can only like boys and boys can only like girls, Nyx doesn't let this stop her though. Her best friend, CJ Jackson, helps her through rough times in her house hold and is more at her house than her own. CJ is the co-captain for West Side High's basketball team.
