Deep down in the desert of New Mexico, a city called Liber stands high in the sky. This city has no electricity, no running water, no government, no laws, and no one to tell you what you can and can't do. It may seem like a perfect getaway spot; it may seem like somewhere to hide from your troubles, but that might not be the case. Liber has its own problems, as does any city, but Liber's problems seem to circulate around one man in particular: Benjamin Sharpe.

Actually not literally, you know, because otherwise that would be really gross. Who is V.K. McAllister? We're a husband/wife duo (Andrew and Sasha McAllister) with a unique approach to writing. We work simultaneously and in secret before combining what we come up with, resulting in dramatic and unexpected twists that surprise even us! Crazy? Yes, yes it is, but it's surprisingly fun and effective. :) We pretty much live for the Inevitable Ascension series and did just about everything ourselves-the writing, the editing, the publishing, the art (well, Andrew did the art, but Sasha provided invaluable consulting when it came to eyebrows), the audio book, the trailer-everything. We're basically a one-man band, except with two people... and no music... so perhaps not the best metaphor, but we're confident you get what we mean. My name is Jayce. The world has always been the same, filled with people with powers and people without powers. That just the way it is, the people with powers are looked down upon were ever they go as both a dangoure and low class workers with zero money. Soon however I realized that the capitol doesn't look down upon the ones with powers because they are a lower class but because they are a threat, so if that is what they think of us stand with me and join the fight for our freedom our rights, super blood made us like this so we can make them fear us. Fury, when you have enough of it can be dangoures but hope is lethal and fear is deadly. So let's use Super bloods fear against them. They are cautious but that was their first mistake.Complete

Long ago, way before our time. A weary traveler left home to find new land for his family to thrive off of. Drought engulfed almost all of Elysium, called The Great Heat. The man traveled far and wide just to find a sign of life anywhere. It took him days and several hundred miles to find anything worth nourishment and care. He braved sand storms and blistering heat, his throat was dry and his feet could hardly carry him any farther. He collapsed onto the ground, his hands burning under the heat of the crackled ground. His vision blurred and mirages played with his suffering senses. His mind projected a tree into his line of vision, withering away but it's branches holding a single fruit. Besides his beliefs of it being a figment of his imagination, he crawled his way to it, bringing himself under the weak shade that it provided. He looked at the glistening purple fruit, what was it? He reached up to grab it, expecting it to fall through the image projected before him. His fingers wrapped around the fruit and he picked it from the branch. It was real! The fruit was real. He eagerly bit into the fruit and its juices trickled down his chin. He sat back and relaxed as the food nourished his body, he drank of its juices and picked out its many seeds, collecting them. He dug a deep hole until he felt moisture in the soil, planting the seeds into the ground. As it grew over time, the man used the old tree to build his home around the new one, tending to it religiously until it beared fruit. He brought his family and they lived there, planting trees and passing on the seeds for other places to spring life. Within five years the drought was over, Elysium was breathing again."Complete
