This sounds stupid I know, what's an Astro boy x male / non-binary reader. don't like, don't read. Pulled text from story: ["Who are you?" he asked. I wished I could find out who was hiding in there. "Don't bother man, he won't talk. I don't think he can." sludge said as he jumped down. I looked back at the figure, and looked for any indication that I knew him. He felt so familiar, it was so weird. I could see his Violet tinted eyes and knew something was up. "why-why can't he talk?" I asked not taking my eyes off the figure in the shadows. "Dunno. but, he's a menace on hammeg". I looked at the figure and made a choice. "come with us, we won't hurt you." the figure contemplated this, and then stepped out of the shadows...] Hey... this is a weird book.... boy x boy... oof.

All Zane knows is all he was ever told. He lived his life with zero complications and one hundred percent compliance. That is, until he becomes a weapon of mass destruction. Zane, born inside New Vancouver, knows nothing beyond the walls. So when his life takes an unexpected turn from the predictable, easy life he knows, his world flips upside down. He's forced into a human experiment and cursed with supernatural abilities. He encounters a gorgeous boy, and his attraction to him is overwhelming and new. He meets others like him, other subjects of the awful experiment, and finds out just how tangled in the web of lies he is. Zane, trapped inside a facility designed to keep him in, must deal with his unfamiliar attraction and friendships he develops. He struggles to force his old life away and take charge of his new life, but New Vancouver's claws are sunk in far too deep. Thankfully, he doesn't have to. His friends formulate an escape plan and run into some strange and unexpected accomplices along the way. A few felonies and a couple missiles later, Zane and his friends are free of the barbaric walls of New Vancouver. As secrets are revealed and pasts are brought into the light, Zane begins to feel closer and closer to the people he calls his friends. But the orchestrator of the experiment is relentless and pursues them furiously wherever they deem to go. Zane questions the morality of his actions as he fights for what he believes is right and aims to avert total nuclear war. He is forced into the dangerous life of a biological weapon and is thrust into a situation where there is only one choice: face your past or claim your future. And Zane fears he'll choose wrong. **Book 1 of The Paradox Trilogy**
