Everyone knows Max and Billy have problems. Everyone knows Neil is the real villain. Everyone is curious to know what happens at Max and Billy's house. What goes on, what they hide , what they sacrifice? Max and Billy have maybe gotten a better relationship during the summer of 85 because everyone noticed how Max had worried and refused to believe Billy was flayed. We saw in season 2 that they had a very bad relationship but maybe after that, after Billy saw Max's authority and confidence and ability to overthrow him that maybe just maybe he started seeing her differently and just maybe started finally seeing the real her and got to a better point in their relationship, but of course it took a while for both of them to realize, maybe being brother and sister isn't that bad.
