Briar was once a rich girl who lived with her sister, mother, and father. When her father left them and her mother got cancer, there was no way to pay for their house, so they sold it. Her sister took on several jobs and Briar took on a housecleaning job that she intended to work for only a few months. When she realized that the owner was a rich man, she stole a watch not knowing he was a gang leader. Around the same time, her best friend who had a crush on her came back from studying abroad in Korea to confess his feelings to her. After the gang leader found out from Briar, his good friend, he sentenced her to work for him till death. Eventually, he found out about her situation and took pity. He gave her more freedom and even fell in love. When her mother dies and the funeral; is held in Russia, she has to move there with her sister and aunt. Both Keane and Micah become very sad. Adrian, Ana's brother, sees Keane as weak and starts a war between the gangs, eventually dethroning Keane. Who will Briar chose, Keane or Micah?
