Fortune is struggling to keep up with life. Her parents don't understand that what they're doing wrong, making her life miserable while she's torn between two dragons that she loves dearly and they love her back- just who to pick. On top of family issues and relationship problems, Fortunes been having these nightmares since she hatched which involve this countdown, counting down her years. One day the countdown changed drastically leaving her with less than a year. 

Will Fortune be able to veer her path ahead of her onto a more friendly road or will she fall down into despair's pits of hell. If so will she be able to fix it before she hurts her closest friends or even herself?

TW & CW: Blood, Gore, panic attacks, attempts of suicide, death and sexual references and scenes are described in detail throughout the entire story. There will be no warnings at the beginning of chapters or at the start of the TW/CW for its not all in one paragraph or anything but more spread out throughout the entire book. NOTE (PLEASE READ): This story is about dragons- not people. Don't get confused and think they're people. They do very human like things (such as text lmao) but they aren't humans. Also the dragons in this story all can change their scales colour and change it to their emotions (like the rainwings in wings of fire). Them changing their scales colour is 100% normal.

This is the old version of this book. It will be discontinued but there is currently a new version being made right now which is on my profile. Koa, a 17 year old boy lived in a world full of shifters. It's his last year of high school and he is ready to be done and move on with his life. Tomorrow is his 18th birthday which indicates he will finally be able to find his mate. Throughout his first day as a senior, he found his classes and even made friends on the way. In one of his classes though, English, a conversation started on the topic of the known to be extinct dragon shifters. Even though it got dark, he remained the same and went on about his day. Many people avoided Koa due to him being intimidating. He was known for having a bad temper and getting into many fights for no absolute reason. And surprisingly, he was an omega with the looks and temper of an alpha. this story takes place 1 year after Sunny told the truth to everyone at the hospital. still unable to forgive himself for Mari's death, Sunny and his friends are still together, and "happy". Sunny started dating with Kel some weeks after he got out of the hospital. everyone hangs out almost every time, sharing amazing new memories together each days. Sunny also seems so happy to be with his friends once again, but on the other side... Sunny is unable to forgive himself. he's unable to accept Mari's death, and his depression grows worse, his thoughts getting darker and darker, his health free falling, but hides all of this by his normal quiet attitude each day. he wants to enjoy his moments with Kel and his friends, and he doesn't want any of them to know what's going on with him. how long will Sunny be able to keep the act, how long will he last before breaking down completely ? This book is a little outdated and will be getting a rewrite soon! ------------------ Fighting, dragons were always fighting in the Rainforest. Not physically, but verbally. The Rainforest Kingdom was being torn apart by its residents. The RainWing's and NightWing's. Queen Dandelion and King Palmtree are doing nothing to calm down their tribe, so, someone else has to. Lavender is an seven year old dragonet who belongs to both tribes. She's a hybrid, born from her RainWing mother and NightWing father. Her life is wonderful, at least in her family and small village close to the edge of the Rainforest. But, she's starting to notice the change within everyone, as if they know something is coming, something bad. Lavender wants to keep her kingdom safe, just like all dragons do, but she also wants to keep everyone connected and stop them from being torn apart. Will she be able to fix the ties that brought the RainWing's and NightWing's together? Or will they be split apart and she'll be stuck between torn sides. ------------------------ The Wings of Fire series is written by Tui T. Sutherland and this is just a fan-fiction based off of her series. No characters within this book are from the cannon books and it doesn't follow the cannon timeline.
