Do best friends fall in love?

What a loaded question. And cliched too.

But is it really?

Kaiya Ellis, fresh out of high school. A girl with big dreams and her priorities straight. She knows what exactly she wants from life, be it career or romance. She lived majority of her nineteen years of life full throttle, doing whatever she wanted and expressing unapologetically. Always had a positive outlook on life, and the type to look for opportunity in scarcity. Now, starting a new chapter of life, the college of her dreams. But not alone.

On board with her is her bestfriend of almost 12 years, Shayne Johnson. The guy who breaks hearts like taking a walk in the park, on a daily basis. Carrying his own baggage that life gifted him along with his dashing features and crazy body proportions, attracts lots of attention like a walking magnet, mostly unwanted. The mix of everything going on for him, he found his escape in things that someone from a social status as his family, would avoid to even talk about.

Their dynamic would seem weird to an outsider, a girl with child-like features, has his loyalty wrapped around her pinky. The same guy who stands 6'4 near her only 5'4 physique, looks like a giant when walking beside but acts like an obedient puppy in normal circumstances, but they have their moments of disagreements and it's not always pretty.

Then, what happens for them to feel things that once were off-limits and enter in such- not completely forbidden yet dangerous- territory the question is what would their future look like after the whole lot of drama and heartbreak.

Would they be willing to act on it and risk the most precious thing in both of their lives, their friendship?

If yes, who would go first, considering the people involved are two headstrong, stubborn and one of a kind?
