Spymaster Sarutobi Hiruzen has passed away, leaving his secret task force (SATS), led by Hatake Kakashi since his son's death 3 years prior, one last mission: to hide an item left in a safe deposit box from the dangerous and power-hungry Overseer of Training, potential successor and heir of all the possessions, Shumura Danzō.
The team, soon to be commanded by Danzō himself, has 4 days to accomplish the mission before they are considered rogue agents. But nothing is what is seems when they have no idea what it is that they have to protect and why.
