The One Left Behind

Valentina Corine was one of twelve daughters in her family, but when her widowed mother looses her job- they must move out of their worn down apartment. They spent the next few years living alone and abandoned on the streets of New York- with everyone staring at them, rather than helping. Then- the tragedy struck. They were run off by the cruel police, and had no way to be protected. One day while they were roaming the streets of downtown New York, Valentina was separated from her family by the crowd, left behind and alone, with no hope to survive.
