After reading through Creating a Champion, I had one burning question. On page 376, under the paragraph titled 'The Hero Chosen by the Master Sword', we read:
"It is said that the legendary Master Sword can only be wielded by a hero chosen by the sword itself, and it's whereabouts had long been a mystery. The details of how Link obtained the sword a hundred years ago have been lost to the mists of time, but since he was in possession of it for a number of years prior to becoming a Champion, he was likely around twelve or thirteen years old when it happened."
okay, but HOW DID HE DO IT???

The Legend of Zelda: A Hero's Legacy
The legend of the hero, Link, the Goddess reborn, Zelda, and evil reincarnate, Ganon has been ingrained in the history of Hyrule from its very inception. Link, a young boy clad in green, is always destined to vanquish evil and save Hyrule, however, what if Link was betrayed by those he called allies? Before Hyrule prospered, before Skyloft was created, a hero lived in the land of Hylia, and though his deeds earned him legendary status amongst the peoples of Hylia, there were those who resented the hero.
