Riona. In case you haven't guessed by now, that's me. This is my story. And I'm going to start from the very beginning, so you can get the full picture. They say we're not defined by our past. But I believe that the past is what makes you who you are. It moulds you. It sticks with you no matter how far ahead in life you get. And then, it catches up to you, putting you in a chokehold you can't possibly get out of. In my case, my past is very messy. I don't like it, but I also can't seem to shake it off. Everything started the night before we moved out of our town. I decided to take a late night swim at the lake I love the most. It was sort of a goodbye, a way to somehow wash the pain brought about by my parents' divorce, but then he appeared. As I was floating in the lake, watching the moon and the stars, I heard a noise in the water, and as I turned my head, I saw this guy drowning. I saved him, I brought him back to life, and then... I kissed him and fell in love with him. Things changed after that one stolen kiss. I ran away, and I never thought that I would see him once again, but I did. When people visit you every single day, it's hard to get lonely. Unless you're a ghost. Actual it gets quite annoying. In fact it's heart breaking when the people you used to love the most look straight through you. It's even worse when they blame you for their broken heart. Because they have no idea I'm dead. Two people fall in love in unlikely circumstances. They have a lot of psychological issues and mistrusts in the order of things to prevent them from finding themselves and each other. I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people. This story still is a work in progress, it has holes and it is to be continued
