Kayleen dela Cruz is an OFW in Seoul, South Korea and been trying her luck in the Korean entertainment industry to become a script writer for five years. After failing to secure an internship at a local television network, she ended up devastated and drinking her problems away when he unexpectedly meets Cho Man Shik, the deity/guardian of fate who have been living among mortals for over a millennium. Kayleen stroke a deal with Man Shik to tell her future or her red string of fate. He eventually agreed to an agreement with Kayleen to find her red string fate because he found her views on love and fate interesting and differs from those he helped throughout this existence. Kayleen is the first person he met whom he cannot see its future or red string of fate. As Man Shik spends more time with Kayleen, he started to grow fond of her but have to remind himself of their differences and his duty as a deity. One day, Kayleen's schoolfellow and former love interest in college, Ralph Fernandez, arrived in Seoul for a business trip and ended up meeting Kayleen again at a drama show production where she was tasked to deliver coffee orders for the cast and crew. Man Shik suddenly gets a vision of Kayleen's future and started seeing her red string of fate tied to Ralph. Ralph and Kayleen's sudden encounter led to more meetings around the city and Man Shik wanting to interfere due to his growing feelings for Kayleen. Reuniting with an old flame will reignite Kayleen's past feelings and cause confusion on whether to defy or accept the love that was fated by the gods.
