Lauren was screaming at the top of her lungs as she raced to my car, no one could have seen this coming, it was the day before Christmas.
"Veda wake up!" "We have to get you help!"
Alex ran up beside her dragging me out of the car, I couldn't feel my legs, or understand what was being said.
"Lauren we have to get her out of the car!".
They were both hysterical, and they only words I understood were the faint words, from a world beyond ours. A world where demons and monsters come alive.
Who would have thought, it would end up like this, the day before Christmas, who would have thought I'd end up on the side of the road "dead."

Stunningly Ruined
~ I put my foot down and drive to the first corner. The track is always wet at the start of the day as the water truck is able to go out and keep it that way, but by the end of the day all the water will have been used so it will be bone dry and that's when the real fun begins. I pull the hydro, the chrome shaft that's connected to my rear brakes, to lock the rear wheels so I can initiate a drift. I feather the throttle accordingly as to keep the car sideways and continue onto the next corner... This is it. Nothing else matters. Just me, my car, their car and the sound of tyres tearing rubber against the drying tarmac... ~ ~ "Laurie, you got something..." He trails off as his thumb brushes my lips enough to turn my head towards him. Before I know it, the space between us is closing and my body is frozen. His lips draw ever closer to mine and involuntarily, my back arches so my mouth presses against his. My lips burn with passion as I find myself unable to stop kissing him. My rational side kicks in and I pull myself away from him. What the hell am I doing? ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Laurie Williams is a wreck of a woman. Alcoholism and not giving a damn are her two main personality traits. As it becomes clear that Imya will not survive after sustaining serious injuries in their escape, Max, Jane, and Hong prepare themselves for an empty world where medicine and the long-gone doors of the mental facility can no longer help them escape from an every pressing enemy with unknown ambitions. This is a surreal novel. A genre so underrated, that they don't even have it as a genre option. ~~~ (WARNING: The mature is there for gore, themes of death, and a few references of a character's past being sexually abused. Maria wasn't sure why or how the entity haunted her; she never played with a ouija bound and she never chanted Bloody Mary in her bathroom but on this particular day, when she was home alone, a huge terrifying Monster pounced on her from her closet and attacked her in her own room, the Monster itself was a huge, horrifying, sinister entity with startling glowing yellow eyes that seemed to stare into her soul. The Monster seems to only be interested in Maria and targets her specifically, She has no clue as to why it's haunting her, no, hunting her, but she's determined to find out and put a stop to it before it can send the grim reaper her way.
