Death Eaters aren't supposed to get second chances. They definitely aren't supposed to die twice. 

Regulus Black thinks it's a bit odd that this is his price to pay for playing a part in the wrong side of the war. He's learned his lessons, but now he has to live through them again. When one random shift in the universe gives him and Argent Malfoy a second chance to redo their lives, they enter a tentative pact. 

Six months to save her life. Two years to save his. She breaks all the rules trying to show Regulus that it's okay to be angry. 

And he breaks them to show her it's okay to live.
