"I seriously am clueless here, Alex. What is it that I've done?" she asked. "Tell me." "This." he threw some photos her way. Shaken by Alex's behavior, Kate snapped her face back as some of the photos slapped across her cheek. They crawled down in the air to slowly settle around her feet. He looked away from her like she had burned him. And Kate couldn't help but feel her insides tremor. Instincts screamed at her that a storm had indeed entered her life with the intent to harm the love that she and Alex shared. Bending down slowly, she reached out with trembling hands; she picked up one of the photos from the floor and froze. In the photo, Neil, her best friend, and she was making out. Kate remembered this moment, but it was nothing like this. Lifting her eyes from the photo where she had apparently locked lips with Neil, Kate looked back up into Alex's eyes and got scared out of her wits. The eyes where used to be only love and affection for her. There, those emotions were now replaced with endless hatred only. ~Nothing lasts forever; people change, and so change their lives.~ Kate thought she had one forever with Alex, but that forever came to an end too soon. When she was about to tell him the news of her pregnancy, what she expected was his elation and love, never had she thought that she would be punished instead. Thrown to the street literally, she lost everything she held dear. ~Memories never fade, and pain can never be forgotten.~ And then, one day, Alex enters her life again, this time aiming to break more than her heart. Everything that glitters ain't gold & everything that shines ain't silver. There's not always a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow. But a rainbow will always appear after every shower of rain. It's not always noticeable because the beauty of it is way over our heads. But the fact that the rainbow is an illusion of beauty of mother nature. What is natural beauty? What is beauty inside and out? What does it mean when someone thinks your perfect when you're not? When I met him on a rainy afternoon the air smelt like gardenias. My black oxford pumps were soaked from accidentally stepping on a puddle, and the tiny yellow umbrella I held up barely saved me from the chilly rain. When I met him on a rainy afternoon, the sky was pink and blue. I was starving and almost craving to smell the stuffy scent of my closed up home's small living room. When I met him on a rainy afternoon, his son held my feet out of the blue and called me 'mum'. He rushed out of the restaurant only seconds later, his cheeks a pale flushed hue. When I met him one day on a rainy afternoon, he looked up into my eyes and apologized. The passenger window rolls down, and I spot the most unexpected person seated behind the wheel. "Get in" comes out his voice, and I must've stood there agape for a few moments because next comes his rhetorical question. "Are you getting in or continuing walking in the rain?" Eyebrows raised expectantly. "You smell like heaven." His husky voice vibrates against my bare flesh. His hands wandered, I reacquainted myself with him as I burned from his closeness, sparked alive by his touch. It had been so long since I'd been held like this. Desire swam, pooling in my center. He trailed kisses down my neck, his teeth grazing my shoulder. The pain sent a bolt of pleasure to my core. He growled. "You're so goddamned perfect. Every inch of you." He kissed and nipped my chest before lazily taking turns grasping and sucking my breasts. Our breathing came out ragged.. needy.
