When I met him on a rainy afternoon the air smelt like gardenias. My black oxford pumps were soaked from accidentally stepping on a puddle, and the tiny yellow umbrella I held up barely saved me from the chilly rain. "Lost Friends To Lovers" Dad told me real love happens once and when it does, never hide your feelings. Too bad, he told me late. I held them and lost her. Until I found her again. Blue-eyed, brown hair. That dimple on the right cheek, it hasn't changed much. Well, she hasn't changed much either. I can feel her body exuding the same warmth as the old times, her innocence still shining bright like it used to. This little surprise is racing my heart even when she is far from me...wait? Far? Sometimes we fear truth over reality. But things get dark and heavy and we play the blame game. We end up hurting others or ourselves even. We don't think before we act or we don't say before we do.
