"Father!" I cried.
The killer snapped his head up to look at me. People were coming to my father's study! Right before they entered, the killer disappeared.
"Your highness, what have you done?"
My eyes snap down to my hands. There was my knife covered in my father's blood.

I've never seen him like this before. Cheeks red, chest heaving, hunched over himself on the stump of a tree. For once, he looks like an authentic person. Of course, this is merely an illusion.
