For as long as she could remember Carolines life had been planned from beginning to end. It was simple... once her father passed she'd ascend the throne, marry the boy she'd been engaged to since she was merely a child, and live out her days growing old yet spending every waking hour serving her people. She dreaded the life she'd be forced to take on; yet unknowingly within months it would be flipped upside down and she'd be missing it more than ever. When her father is inexplicable killed in a carriage accident it isn't long before Caroline discovers the illness her mother had been hiding from her. With Caroline having to navigate her new life as Queen the last thing she needed was her peoples enemy, "The Dark Kingdom" leader to be beating down her door. Coming face to face with Klaus Mikaelson was only the beginning though who knew he'd become the greatest love of her life and together they'd take on the greatest adventure of all.
