In this universe, Loki escapes the prison on Asgard after receiving a life sentence by the Allfather. The Avengers have been tasked with tracking him down and bringing him back to Asgard.
However, this will be difficult. Loki believes the punishments he receives are unjust, and goes to great lengths to stay hidden and ensure his own safety.
Even if it means kidnapping an innocent Midgardian.
The Avengers are left to search for someone he will listen to, someone just like him.
This leads them to 18 year old Lorna MacGregor, an Asgardian-Jötunn woman in southern Scotland.
Can this woman talk sense into him?
Can she bring him back to Asgard safely?
Can she bring back the good side of Loki?

A Scottish take on the traditional Loki fanfiction. As a person with a hefty collection of Loki fanfiction in my Wattpad archive, I've found it rare to find one starring a Scottish character. So I decided one day that I would bring this ✨mess✨ into the world, basing it off of how I would react to Lorna's situation.
This means a lot of swearing.
I've limited the amount of Scottish terms to make it easier for non-scots to understand. At the end of each chapter, I'll add a writer's note explaining any terms used in the story to make it easier to read.
The timing of this story also means that many of the plotlines from the MCU might happen sooner, if at all. Hopefully this doesn't cause any confusion and I will try to do the changes justice.

After returning from Asgard, S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Dean Allen stays busy to keep his mind off of wondering when Thor will return. But when a very familiar enemy arrives on earth and steals an object of vast comic power, the safety of the earth is challenged. Loki's aspiration to enslave earth with an army from the far reaches of space spurs S.H.I.E.L.D. to enact the Avengers Initiative. But will this team come together...or be torn apart? Note: this is a reimagining of the first Avengers film. While there will definitely be a lot of similarities between this work and the film, there will also be departures. I've done my best to maintain the general spirit of the film while also putting a spin on things to keep it interesting. Also, Thor and the main character are in a homosexual relationship.
