~ Set between Avengers Assemble and Thor: The Dark World ~
~~~~
In this universe, Loki escapes the prison on Asgard after receiving a life sentence by the Allfather. The Avengers have been tasked with tracking him down and bringing him back to Asgard.
However, this will be difficult. Loki believes the punishments he receives are unjust, and goes to great lengths to stay hidden and ensure his own safety.
Even if it means kidnapping an innocent Midgardian.
The Avengers are left to search for someone he will listen to, someone just like him.
This leads them to 18 year old Lorna MacGregor, an Asgardian-Jötunn woman in southern Scotland.
Can this woman talk sense into him?
Can she bring him back to Asgard safely?
Can she bring back the good side of Loki?
A Scottish take on the traditional Loki fanfiction. As a person with a hefty collection of Loki fanfiction in my Wattpad archive, I've found it rare to find one starring a Scottish character. So I decided one day that I would bring this ✨mess✨ into the world, basing it off of how I would react to Lorna's situation.
This means a lot of swearing.
I've limited the amount of Scottish terms to make it easier for non-scots to understand. At the end of each chapter, I'll add a writer's note explaining any terms used in the story to make it easier to read.
The timing of this story also means that many of the plotlines from the MCU might happen sooner, if at all. Hopefully this doesn't cause any confusion and I will try to do the changes justice.
Mischief's Match
*mature for violence An immortal with extraordinary powers never expected her life to unravel after an encounter with the Avengers. Having lived for centuries, she had seen it all-but nothing could prepare her for the disarray of living under the same roof as the Avengers. As chaos and conflict follow the team wherever they go, she finds herself reluctantly involved in their battles and struggles, caught between her own desire for peace and the constant whirlwind of heroism. But things take an unexpected turn when Loki, the God of Mischief, is brought into the fold, living under strict supervision at the Avengers' compound. Once their bitter enemy, now a prisoner and "rehabilitant" of sorts, Loki is as dangerous as he is charming. Despite her initial wariness, the immortal and Loki find themselves crossing paths more often than either would like. The tension between them, at first subtle and barely noticeable, quickly becomes a constant source of friction, and despite their differences, a begrudging respect begins to form. In a world that never seems to slow down, their evolving dynamic becomes one of the more unpredictable-and oddly comforting-elements of their new lives. But even as they learn to tolerate one another, they'll both have to confront what it means to trust again-and whether they can find a way to coexist without the world falling apart around them.Complete
