Edmund Moore is a boring and reclusive man living off the generous charity of his wealthy, elderly aunt in his beloved, remote country home, "Bartrum Manor". His life is turned upside down however when his aunt informs him that unless he marries, she will remove him from the house and force him to reside with her. Reluctantly, Edmund marries Miss Mary Becket, the quiet and strange daughter of wealthy London socialites and the two of them settle into their new life, content to keep to themselves and away from nosy relatives, However, Edmund and Mary soon learn that securing their home will not be as easy as they thought, and unexpected guests will send them on a chaotic adventure across land and sea, where they must use the charm that DOESN'T come naturally to them to survive and hopefully make it back in one piece. This is a tale of stuffy dull Victorians, forced to endure royalty, pirates, exotic lands and tales of terrifying ghosts, all while learning how to endure each other and hopefully find a little bit of joy along the way.

Jane was only six years old when her parents abandoned her at an orphanage. Refusing to let the other forgotten children suffer alone, she became their protector, standing between them and the cruel Matron who ruled with her cane and even crueler hands. When a fire leaves the orphanage in ruins, twelve-year-old Jane takes command of the children she lovingly calls her Lost Ones. Together they escape to sea, where one daring rescue with a grappling hook earns Jane a new name: Captain Hook. Years later, her pirate legend has spread across the seas. But when she and her crew sneak into a nobleman's masquerade, Jane crosses paths with Lord Peter Hawthorne. Their sharp tongues clash before their hearts ever do. But how can a pirate queen and an English lord ever belong to the same world? The Lord's Darling Pirate Queen is a Peter Pan/Captain Hook retelling filled with found family, adventure, slow-burn romance, and the story of the villain who was never meant to become one.
