Alice Albright's parents died when she was very young. She now lives with her Aunt Linda who is a bit of a space case. Alice is used to getting ignored because at school everyone forgets she's their. She is sad and lonely.

One day everything changes when she has a nightmare about her father going to a mental institution for being crazy. She wakes up remembering that he was a little bit looney. "The Monsters are real." He used to say so he would never let her out at night. Ever since that nightmare Alice starts seeing things that nobody else can see. 
At first she thinks there demons until she meets Nate, who can see the same things she can although they aren't demons they're worse: Zombies.

Alice teams up with Nate to kill the night stalking, soul eating zombies before its to late.
