For your consideration for the Wattys of 2017. Diagnosed with cancer at the young age of 25, I kept a journal through surgery and treatment, wrote humorous (or just uncomfortable) short stories and irreverent poems about my experiences. I'm not going to pretend that I have amazing words of wisdom about dealing with the deadly disease. This is a raw, unreserved look at dealing with some real shit in a funny way.

It isn't the bad things you intended to do that come back to haunt you. It's the ones you never meant to happen, that you can't bear to take responsibility for, that fester and grow over the decades. When you know you have nothing to lose, mistakes are inevitable. I've completed this story, but couldn't get any views on here, so I've tried Amazon's KDP Select instead. I have marked this story as "completed" but I don't know if it will ever actual be complete. This is my journal, my secrets, my thoughts. This is The Diary of Me.

I was waiting for my dad when my life changed. Not in any way like a fairy tale with magic wands or going through a rabbit hole like kids in the books do. More like I found it and wished my father came back to clean up his own problem instead of risking my life for this. I can only hope that I will make it out alive.

ALL THINGS THAT HAPPENED ARE REAL. THIS IS NOT FICTION. A diary documenting my final year of high school. Recently life has become this very strange television like reality for me. I went from invisible to involved. This is an entirely true account of my life, not a work of fiction and I want to share with you how weird life has gotten for me.

I wrote this story when I was a freshman in high school. It is horrible, but it was a story that all of my friends got to have input in and they encouraged me to finish it. A group of friends has their lives changed forever after they are kidnapped and experimented on.
