Emilio has had many names in his thousands of years of life (most of which he was actually considered dead) but caring was something not many people would call him. He was a pawn and pawn's don't have any meaning to the King and Queen in power.

Emilio learned that quickly when he was assigned the care about a human, reap her soul, and avoid angel detection.

Despite being hated by most of the people he knew, Casimir managed to rise above the hatred displayed by his fellow angels. Chosen from birth to be the next generation of Heaven's warriors, he was both respected and treated like fifth. Nobody liked it but they had to. The archangels' words were law and Casimir was now above it. But when the time came for his first test of greatness, everything he held dear fell the ashes within his hands.

Now completely abandoned alone on Earth, Casimir has no choice but to learn how to adapt. And it all just becomes worse when he has to befriend the only angel-killer known to Heaven.

Despite all knowledge to the contrary, Casimir begins to find flaws in the archangels' words and now has to decide for himself what he knows to be true. And somehow it all leads back to Emilio.
