You know the story of how there is a kingdom in prosperity, the one with the villainess and the female lead and male lead? Where the villainess is jealous of the female lead right off the bat so eventually after the two main characters fall in love, the whole assassination plot and execution of the villainess?
It's crazy to think she would snicker evilly as she leaned down towards me, whispering hatefully only enough for me to hear as the yells around me demand my execution.
"I must thank the Gods for blessing me with the second chance at life to watch you in my place where my execution was held."

"Oh, the irony... It was fun watching you think you were the main character in the room, Aurora... You got your wish though... You are the main character now!"

I screamed at her and she snickered again, walking away pretending as if I did something to hurt her feelings.

The man pushed my body down on the dirty cement slab that had been washed with the blood past executions. He lifted his large axe. I could see him and her standing together, her sickening eyes enjoying this scene as if it were her own very ecstatic fantasy.
Anger filled me. I screamed before the axe came.
"I WILL BE BACK TO RAIN BLOOD UPON YOU AND THIS EMPIRE. THE GODDESS OF DIVINITY WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS! I WILL SHOW YOU HOW TO BE A REAL VILLAINESS, ROSE!"

"Your mistakes come in episodes, Alpha. Season one, season two, season three. You don't make mistakes. You make choices." He swallowed hard. "I don't need her. I need you." "Lies," she spat. "Every damn sentence you breathe is a lie. I can't even look at you without feeling sick." He flinched like her words physically hit him. "That female behind you?" she pointed, not bothering to glance. "Perfect for you. Go mark her. Breed her. Hell, fuck her for all I care." Her voice cracked - but she kept going, blade steady even when bleeding. "I don't need you. Not anymore." His knees crashed to the floor. The mighty Alpha. On the ground. For her. "Ara... I'm sorry. I'm really fucking sorry." His voice broke like he finally understood what loss tasted like. She stared at him with a sad, devastating smile. "Isn't it too late for that, Mate?"
