The year is 2045.
Place: Chicago City.

This is a story that involves three branches of the human race. 

The first are the Stellars. The perfect humans who are healthy, intelligent and completely devoid of abnormalities. 

The second, are the Lares, short for Laresious. These people have affinities or special abilities. They have plagued the city with their bane existence. Spreading their essence around the globe like fast growing pathogens. 

Spear is the organization that captures them and traps their souls in pearls. 

The third branch of the humans, the Wielders, are the ones who get to control these entrapped souls, effortlessly and with great pleasure. 

Follow the story of how Evanee Blake, a Wielder who doesn't believe in the philosophy of controlling Lares, behaves when Luke, a Lare, comes plummeting into her life.
