Quinn is the best friend of god until he has dream about the humans destroying all of mankind on the face of the Earth. He then forces the humans to abandon God, and he ends being punished for his acts of defiance. He is sentenced to live out many generations as a human. He eventually meets Uriel a mere human and the two of them fall in love. One day Uriel is diagnosed with stage 4 leukemia, after the death of his love Quinn sets out on a journey to unlock his complete angelic powers. When he does gain his own powers back he heads back to heaven to overthrow the rule of his ex-best friend.

You may still like this even if you don't like fantasy. It's more like a normalization of angelic humans. There's plenty of gay adorableness and cuddles. Based in a world in which everyone is an angel and must earn an ability not inherited through family. It seems random but it's not in the slightest. Each matches ones personality. Finding this trait also gets you your wings, which is what every young cherub strives to earn. It's a crazy world where anything can happen. Encluding a rather odd pair.
