Once upon a time, there were two twins, one was a kitsune named Akane, while the other was just a normal boy, named Akano.

"That's you Ji-chan! Wait, you had a twin?"

"Yeah, your mom, now, back to the story"

The females born into their family were always kitsunes, and the males, human. Despite the two being a bit different, they loved each other.

Though they were siblings, they led very different lives. Akane was training to be a demon slayer at a young age, while Akano was living a normal life.

"What's a demon slayer Ji-chan?"

"A person who kills demons and helps people"

"Ohhh"

After Akane became a full fledged demon slayer, using the breath of the fox, the two were separated for a long time. And after a mere 2 months, she rose up to become a hashira.

"Woaaahh! But, what's a hashira Ji-chan?"

"The highest rank in the demon slayer corps, anyway.."

But then one day, after Akane killed her 'last demon' she fell in love with the man she saved, however, her family forbade the women to ever marry, so she ran away with the man she loved, abandoned her hashira title, settled down, and started a family.

"Aww! I don't like her family, she should be allowed to love! Good for Kaa-chan!"

"And the only family member who knew about her whereabouts was her twin, me."

"We would often exchange letters in secret, seeing how each other are or simply just for fun. My favorite letter was when she said she was pregnant with you."
