He eventually decided to trust this human, 'maybe she'll be different from others of her kind' he thought. "Forgive me for asking but what's your name miss?" "Marinette" She said with her hand extended to the young merman who only gave her a confused look. She responded with a giggle and then said "It's called a hand shake. It's a thing we humans do where we hold hands with another and shake it. Like this." She said while demonstrating what it is "We use it as a greeting or a signal of agreement" "Well then it's nice to meet you Marinette" He said shaking her hand "But I'm afraid that I must go now before a guppy wonders into my cave, Good Bye Princess" He said ending with a bow which merited him another giggle from his princess. "Good bye Chat don't worry we'll see each other again soon I promise" She said while getting her stuff and getting out of the water.
