The Avatar has once again disappeared after losing the battle with the Fire Lord, allowing for Ozai to destroy the Earth Kingdom on the night of Sozin's Comet. He has since taken over the world as The Phoniex King, and no one is safe.
Katara is desperate. She hasn't seen or heard from her family and friends in four years, and she is beginning to lose hope. In a last-ditch attempt to find those she loves, she takes a job working as a maid for one of the highest-ranking officers in the Fire Nation. On one fateful night, she runs into someone from her past, and her entire world is turned upside down once again.
Zuko is lost. His father won, and his beloved uncle is more than likely dead. For the past four years, he's been on the run, not staying in one place for more than a few days, until he stops in the new Fire Nation capital city in the old Earth Kingdom. He settles down and spends his days and nights getting tangled up with the wrong crowd, and when a run-in with an old friend gives him a glimmer of hope, he begins to feel a little less lost.
Basically, Aang is hurt really bad, and everything went wrong. And Zuko got reeeaaal hot. Oh, and it's also Zutara.
