Maddison 'Maddy' Daisy Sumner is the top therapist at The Sumner Rehabilitation Company as her father, Tyler, runs the four centers with a peaceful, relaxed environment and state-of-the-art equipment. The staff is the best of the best, with Maddy at the front and center of the main center in the city she was born and raised. Professionally, her life is sweet but personally, her life is anything but. Her ex broke up with her because she wasn't what he wanted and left her for a former college classmate. And a couple of guys she meets here and there, are interested and want to get to know her. As it all circles around her, Maddy secretly doesn't care about any of them. Ex or potential. All she cares about is work.

Kaden Preston was a young man who had the world at his feet and what seemed like everything going for him. At the age of 17, he was in a terrible car accident that left him bruised, in a cast, and his throat slashed injuring his vocal cords. Even though he made it through physical therapy and occupational therapy, it was when he found out that they didn't think that speech therapy would help him, he shut down. So, Kaden spent the next seven years in silence until he moved to New York and found out about a wonderful center that could give him hope of speaking once again. The moment he went there he saw that just maybe they could help, thinking that as long as he focused on getting his voice back, he'd be okay. That was the plan until he saw who his therapist was. A beautiful brown woman around his age named Maddison. Suddenly, Kaden wanted to hurry up and speak so he could say to the lovely Maddison all the thoughts he's thinking about her and him- together.

But with two handsome strangers wanting to get to know her and one ex-boyfriend who didn't want her but don't want her with anyone else keep circling her, driving her nuts maybe Kaden not saying anything at all might just be better.
