Summary:
Cale gets stabbed. Everyone is angry. Must protect this idiot.

Part 1 of the How to get a slacker life: step 1 - get stabbed series

Notes:
This is the first in a series I'm planning where Cale gets injured and has to stay at home with his many many protective friends and also hello slacking off.

Don't worry more people will come in the following fics.

EDIT: Thank you @Illumi_Senri for pointing out that the heart of vitality existed, I forgot about. Sry. Pls pretend that Cale temporarily lost the ability and so everyone is more protective than ever.

EDIT 2: Fixed a few typos.

EDIT 3: I re-read the whole thing and cringed so hard. (Several months after I posted this) So I rewrote a few paragraphs and removed a few things. I would literally like to apologize to everyone who read this because the theme from a few months ago had apparently completely forgotten how to use past tense:(

3 parts Complete

*Wattys 2018 Winner / Hidden Gems* CREATE YOUR OWN MR. RIGHT Weeks before Valentine's, seventeen-year-old Kate Lapuz goes through her first ever breakup, but soon she stumbles upon a mysterious new app called My Dream Boyfriend, an AI chatbot that has the ability to understand human feelings. Casually, she participates in the app's trial run but finds herself immersed in the empathic conversations with her customizable virtual boyfriend, Ecto. In a society both connected and alienated by technology, Kate suspects an actual secret admirer is behind Ecto. Could it be the work of the techie student council president Dion or has Kate really found her soulmate in bits of computer code? She decides to get to the bottom of the cutting-edge app. Her search for Ecto's real identity leads Kate to prom, where absolute knowledge comes with a very steep price.
