"A knife. A kiss. And a contract neither of them can break." Anna knows three things: NEVER trust a man with a smile that dangerous, never let your guard down in enemy territory, and never-ever-mix business with desire. Rocco Marcello lives to break rules, especially hers. He's the enemy's right hand, the one man standing between her and her mission... and the one who shouldn't be able to get under her skin. But one night changes everything. A deal forces them into each other's shadows, and every glance, every touch, every whispered threat starts blurring the lines between loyalty and temptation. In a world where alliances shift like smoke and one mistake can get you killed, Anna must decide: Will she end him... or let him in? Because in this game, love isn't the risk. It's the weapon. Glimpse- Rocco's eyes lingered on the blade in her hand. "You always greet people like this?" Anna didn't flinch. "Only the ones I might have to kill." He laughed, low and dangerous. "Good to know I'm special." "You're not," she said, slipping the knife back into its sheath. "You're just in my way." He stepped forward until she could feel the heat of him. "And yet... you haven't moved me." Her lips curved into something that wasn't quite a smile. "Not yet."
