Harper was tasked to deliver her mom's freshly baked apple pie to Jenny, her mom's college roommate, as a thank you gesture for welcoming them on their move to Manhattan. Her mom mentioned about Jenny having a daughter, but Harper was-and surely was-welcomed by a boy. 

Those words coming from Harper's mom sounded oddly offensive, but Harper never meant any harm. She clearly saw a guy! 

Perhaps her mom was just wrong about it all along?
