Before the Convergence... Before the Avatar was chosen... before Xirxine ventured beyond Safe Haven's borders... there was a legend. It told of a glorious battle between a phoenix and a dragon, a days-long war for the fate of Safe Haven. In its most basic summary, the dragon appeared out of nowhere, took over the hidden world, and was ultimately disintegrated by the phoenix after their battle.

So the story says.

But as any of the four dragon brothers would tell you--were they allowed to do so--there is a great difference between legend... and HISTORY.
