Thousands of years into the future, earth's population reaches its maximum capacity and an additional planet called Euryethna is crafted to further expand life. Sometime after discovering the human's heinous project on earth's sister planet, half of mankind is consequently wiped clean in an effort to eliminate the human pests behind the barbaric activity and preserve the endangered lives of the supernatural that were harshly experimented on. Now that the deity and demented sorcerer responsible share their newest and darkest creation from the ruins, they've found beauty in starting over. With all of this destruction they caused and the new colony they've made from the ashes, have they created more than just a new world together? Will the remaining ones adapt to their new lives governed by two kings or will more enemies attempt to rise next?

"As light and darkness will be... Ever seeking balance." The world of Lovis was created by two Goddesses, who worked together to bring about light, darkness, life, and death. When too much corruption eats away at the original darkness in the air, it creates a rift made of chaos and corruption. These rifts are portals to other places. If too many of these were to open all at once, passages will be made for things from other dimensions to travel through, entering a world they do not belong in. For this corrupt Goddess, chaos such as this is all that she strives for. Not only will a perfectly balanced world, like Lovis, crash and burn, but all other worlds in the universe. It is safe to say that not all worlds are as lovely as Lovis... At least, that's what a group of friends from Lovis believe after witnessing for themselves the horrors that belong in these other worlds. Saving not only Lovis, but all other worlds in the universe is what a group of heroes set out to do, joined by others. The quest is to find a powerful gem in the Deep Forest, and then to use what powers it bestowed on them to delve into the Mountain Barrier. There, they will have to find the Light to dispel the growing Darkness within. Though this qest is honorable and righteous, the dangers that await them are exponentially worse than they could ever imagine. Whether they can save the world depends on whether they can survive themselves. Mature rating for blood, gore and depictions of violence. TW: mentions of drunkards and beer, mention of physical abuses, a description of trypophobia, claustrophobia, and other phobias, and descriptions of nasty cryptids. There is no depictions or allusions of sex, no f-bombs, or drug abuse. This story was started when I was in seventh grade. I finished the original when I was a senior in high school. Displeased with the finished product, I began to rewrite it here, starting June 2015, then again in 2020. I am quite satisfied with the result, and am sure this will be the final edition. This isn't the first book of the series, but there's no spoilers for 'The World is Larger than it Seems', so you can start on this one. COMPLETED BOOK I was trained to be a weapon for the kingdom. I was forced into servitude to the King after my family was ripped from me. They're all monsters, except for him...he was my charge and as much as I wanted to hate him, the prince was nothing like his vicious father. He was a warm light in my cold and dark world.
