It all started on September fourteenth, two thousand and fourteen .
katara jacobs was too smart for her own good; tinkering, building, creating.
she was only nineteen, but she was the brightest and most promising engineer of her generation.
she worked on her latest, most extravagant project; a time machine.
at first, it didn't work.
the power from the outlet did not power up the machine, and her family was embarrassed of her failure.
embarrassed of her.
she leaves them, taking the machine with her, and fiddling, fiddling, fiddling with the machine.
she falls asleep, screwdriver in hand, and wakes up somewhere unexpected.
she wakes up in the year 1929, in her skinny jeans and tank top, surrounded by people dressed in fancy dresses.
one woman in particular questions her. 'Oh bother. Who are you and what are you wearing?'
