12th of May 1780. After the surrender of Charleston, John Laurens becomes a prisoner of war. Depressed by his state of inactivity, he is desperate for a prisoner exchange, but when it fails, he sees no hope in life anymore.
Concerned about his lover's life, Alexander Hamilton forms a daring plan to kidnap a British officer and exchange him for Laurens. Meanwhile, he is also planning his wedding with Elizabeth Schuyler.
