Sixteen-year-old Makas has always lived in the same place for his whole life and has never stepped outside in fear of Orphics, otherwise known as mutants. Always wanting to be outside he finally made a game his friends participated in that led them to the outside world. Not expecting to see one of his friends murdered in front of his eyes by his own father. To save himself he is thrown into the position to be the ruler of Room Zero.
