All she ever wanted was to live the life of a normal teenager; buying clothes, talking about boys or just simply having friends. But instead she had to provide for herself, worry when her next meal will be... and just simply survive.

And root of the Italian mafia they had to learn to be tough and cold as ice because without that, especially in the mafia world you'll be good as dead.
