"Stereotypical, ain't it?" Jake muttered again. Mike nodded in agreement. "They just had to call and report the spooky noises coming from the spooky house, didn't they?" Jake whined. Mike snorted and shook his head, "Come on, let's get this over with." They clicked their flashlights on and trudged up the creaky steps wearily. The front door was moldy and horribly chipped, and when Mike raised his hand and knocked mildew stuck to his hand. He wrinkled his nose in disgust and wiped it on his pants.
[Gonna be posting some old works from wayyy back when I was in Highschool. This was the short story I wrote for my Creative Writing class before we did our longer story. Beware: it's old writing so it's gonna be a hard read.]

I screamed at the top of my lungs when he slashed the boy's neck with his claw. The boy next to the dead body stood frozen while he visibly squeezed the boy's head into nothing. Jack pushed me at the monster and ran out the door, but he didn't make it far. He caught up with him and bit off his head, blood trickling down his chin. Then the monster turned towards me and threw Jack through the window, loosing interest in the boy in a second. He walked towards my shaking body, leaning his 8 foot body down to mine. The smile that formed on his disgusting face made my stomach do a 360° flip. And the fire that was enveloping him was making my eyes burn. She said to herself trying to calm her heartbeats. She stood right in front of the dusty glass door. Placing both her hands on it she tried to push the door. For the split of a second she saw a young lady, her hands and face covered in blood, impatiently banging on the door. The wind around her went crazy. She heard random whispers in her head. Rhea was unable to focus on anything around her but the lady. The lady was saying something but for Rhea it felt like some random lips movement. She was scared out of her wits. Then suddenly everything went dead silent. The lady vanished. The whispers and the wind stopped. But then Rhea saw light imprints of blood on the glass door under the dusty layer. ************************************ This book basically contains short horror stories of my own imagination. {COMPLETED} This is my first story, so only constructive criticism, please. Also, there's no smut. Sorry not sorry. I ain't writing that shit. Also also, there's probably gonna be some gore, but that's to be expected. I'll keep the character pretty gender neutral, but I'm personally a demigirl so forgive me if the character seems a bit feminine at times. ◊◊◊ You're a pretty average person. He transformed into a monster. He had scales on the sides of his body. His face was almost human but the monster part took over more. He had claws and a long dragons tail. I got scared. "Please don't eat me!" I backed up against the wall. He got closer to me. I was so scared. "Please!" I had tears running down my cheeks. He took my arms and pinned me up against the wall. His tongue was like a snakes tongue. He licked my neck. I was crying. He hissed in my ear before he talked. "I'll make a deal with you little human. I will let you live. IF. You belong only to me. I will come visit you every night and leave before the sun rises." I stared at him. Belong only to him? I wouldn't have a boyfriend. Would he make me do things I didn't want to do? Would he get mad one day and eat me? But I couldn't think about that right now. It was either this or die. I sighed so I could speak clearly. "Yes." One night, a creature snuck into Sammy's bedroom. Instead of choosing to eat her, he offers her a once in a lifetime opportunity. Sammy's life has been going downhill since her father's passing. So her agreeing to belong to this creature was just the tip of the iceberg. Soon she becomes involved in a world she never knew existed. Decadent
My hand slaps against my mouth as I try to shut myself up. Don't make too much noise...or he'll hear you. A vehicle's door opens then slams shut. I don't hear footsteps...but as the minutes go by I begin to hear them; the footsteps get louder and louder and louder, matching the sound of my thundering heart. That's when I see his shadow cast over the ditch...over the place where I tried to hide. "Well," he says with a smile in his voice. "I wonder where he could've gone...the footprints stop here...so I wonder if he just...disappeared?" My body begins to tremble. I can feel it now. The pain. I can feel the pain already. He jumps down into the ditch...he stands directly in front of me, with his back facing me. My hand presses harder against my mouth as I try to suppress my whimper, but it's way too late now. But his body tenses up when he hears it. He laughs bitterly as he turns around slowly, and his eyes cut through my camouflage easily. "There you are."Complete
