It had been nearly a century since Sauron's defeat. The Orc armies have been splintered and crushed, leaving the once numerous race of monstrosities with no leaders and no one to keep their ways in check. Men have hunted them down yet they live. Adaption has always been their best trait. Now left in tribes and small bands orcs have isolated themselves, but when an aspiring hunter finds his band in danger, he will stop at nothing to ensure its safety... and slaughter those who dared threaten it.

Who's hunting who exactly ? Not in anyone's wildest dreams, not even in mine I'd dream of this night to happen to me. Not many people think they will ever go up against a blood thirsty, horrifying non existing beast. Yet I do. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Another Lord of the Ring's fanfic. Well, it's more like a hobbit fanfic, but Aragon and Gimli are there as well. This might be out there but I'm doing it. Please don't hate me. An elf rises to power and is aligned with Sauron. One elf that came from the woodland haven of Mirkwood. One that was cast out as a teenager when a child was only a mere baby. For this elf, Malachi, is the first-born son of Thranduil but he was cast out into the darkness. Malachi is the older brother of Legolas, and wants revenge, but more importantly wants his younger brother to join him. He will bring about a new age of darkness even greater than Sauron's.Complete

This is a fan fiction of Lord of the Rings. A spine off from perspective of Eastlings. Because of their allegiance to Mordor, the Easterlings had little to do with the lands beyond its border other than to wage war. What little Middle earth knew of them was scarce and garnered from the experience gained whilst warring with the Haradrim. Together, with the Balchoth Variags and the Easterling barbarians called the Wainriders, they were as fierce in battle as Orcs and they were found to be almost as treacherous, giving no quarter when they launched their savage assaults. Physically, they were different from the fair folk of the north, being dark skinned and swarthy, sometimes riding chariots while fighting their enemies astride huge tusked animals called mumakils. Galadriel has struggled to adapt for months; but with her brother gone and so many of the Enemy soldiers, including Sauron, at large, how can she put down the weapons that have kept her safe for so long? Halbrand finally makes his way north to take refuge in the great city of Lindon, where a chance encounter with a half-elf lord puts him directly into the path of Galadriel. He's done fighting. It's time to atone for his misdeeds. If his identity is exposed, can he make the person who matters most to him understand? The two journey to the Southlands, where an orc father is pursuing a secret of his own. What is Adar hunting? That's a lot of very dramatic questions for a single description.
