The DreamSMP has a barrier surrounding it. Those who try to break that barrier never return - it's a no-go server.
This is common knowledge among the Watchers, but one Watcher - who just happens to be the youngest heir - tries to test this.
It's been about a year now, with no signs of Ranboo. No letters, no texts, no visits. So Grian has taken it upon himself to look for his little brother.
But will he be there in time to save them? What's the deal with this "XD" god? And where has Kristin gone?

ORIGINALLY CALLED "THE EYES IN THE STORM" why are you reading this, this is cringe and old, there's a reason why I discontinued it. The Hermits were now in Season 8, and with 2 new members. They had just finished the introduction and went on to gather resources and make their starter bases. But then, they realised that the world they are in is a bit unusual. Grian knew this was going to happen. He knew, and he didn't warn anyone. And that, was the biggest mistake he has ever made. Friendship was made, families reconcile, lies were told, alliances were made, betrayal happened, and death. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Etho Slab is a member of the Voikran Armed Forces, the main military of the Original Overworld which specialises with its soldiers, weaponries, and many more. In where an important site got raided on an "unknown" and "unexplored" island, and all of its highly classified intel was stolen. Etho and his team must neutralise the group that raided that site and get all those intel back. But as the events go on, Etho begins to think that the things he is fighting for was interestingly questionable. There may be something dark hidden in those intel said group they were trying to exterminate was hiding. "There's no reason for the site to be heavily guarded but easily raided. Grian always bursts into their little, cozy attic right before things can go terribly wrong. Like that one time Ranboo had wanted to cook dinner. Tommy is pretty sure Grian had been asleep at the time of the occasion, judging by how messed up his blond hair was, yet he ran up two floors -four sets of stairs, fifteen steps each- and then burst through the door with a shout of "NO, DON'T DO IT!!!". It had been an eventful night that one, ending with a scolding and a very much grounded Ranboo. Which is weird, because Grian isn't Ranboo's parent, he is just their neighbor. And, at this point, it's just the norm for Grian to know what they are up to. The trio's theory is that the avian has a sixth sense or something. "Oh, hey Tommy and Tubbo!" Grian greets as he bends to pick up the fallen, heavy-looking boxes. "You're looking chipper today. Work went well, I'm guessing?" "Oh, Hell yeah! We mugged a guy!" This book is for stories I wanted to include, but that no longer fit with the plot as it stands. Stuff that got retconned, but was still interesting enough I wanted to flesh it out. So here they are! None of these are canon to the story, and its updates are going to be even more sporadic than the main book's. All these are is what-ifs that didn't make the cut.
