Magic thrives when a human dies...
For centuries the ones called Tempests have been growing restless with each other, fighting over the weakened magic of two worlds.
Mirrors give them a way into our world where they can feed of human death, but for a little while men have managed to create a special watch to hold them off. A marching minute hand grows the space between their past and our present.
But the more the Tempests destroy, the stronger they grow until the minutes lose their power and we mere mortals run out of hours.
