Having his mother mysteriously die years ago hit Orion straight in the heart as he had always relied on his mom to protect him. Now without her he must face the hurtful words of his father, creating a small emotionless barrier around his soul, until one day he stumbled upon a torn apart peasant boy with a mischievous yet broken look in his eyes that leads Orion to have pity on him as he couldn't bear himself to turn the boy even after it is made blatantly obvious that he didn't belong there. Orion promises himself that he will never let his guard down and risk destroying the protection that he's spent years working for again, yet he can't shake away the strange pull in his soul that he's never felt before.
