Following the events after the downfall of the Empire, Akira and Akame left the land and headed eastward, to the land of Wakoku, previously known as Jinwa.

Haunted by the Lich and his past atrocities, he is determined to find a cure for Murasame's curse for Akame, he feels lost and distraught after the loss of their child, blaming himself for it. However, his fight was never finished as he's dragged into another ongoing civil war, once again raising up his blade and returning to his old moniker.

A name he wished to forget and past he wishes to leave behind as it brought out the demon within.
