In this new world, when magic is up, spells work and creatures once thought lost to myth flood the broken streets of Atlanta. Then tech returns and magic vanishes, leaving a lot of mythical, supernatural and paranormal destruction in its wake.

Conlan Lennart is the son of the first beast Lord and the daughter of Nimrod and he returns to Atlanta every summer to visit his rather extensive adoptive relatives and friends and also walk the grounds his parents used to battle while tugging on the tails of these magical problem. When he discovers a girl trapped by wards in the ruins of a home, his protective sense is awoken and h must do all he can to protect her, even if it means putting himself in danger. Soon he discovers that things are not as simple as a seemingly weak girl in a warded room.
