This world works in mysterious ways....
On one hand there is great good, on the other, you wish you never knew it existed-

Since the start of the Global Protection Agency, Specials have been recruited and trained to fight evil and protect the Earth from threats humans can't even think of.
However, even though Specials are globally treated as allies, equal rights with humans and everything, one organization is looking to Specials to run their terrible experiments on.

One group of Specials must defy the odds and break free, to find the HQ of an underground organization who will be sure to help them. But the organization their held by won't give them freedom so easily....

Their journey will take time, bravery, allies and more for them to actually reach their goal.

Can they survive and find freedom in the unknown?
Or shall they remain in the clutches of their overseers?

《DISCLAIMER: This story is discontinued as another version will be made. Expect it to come out late, but in the meantime check out my other stories as they're being updated!》 What if the group of 4 Specials never actually escaped the horrible facility by themselves, but they were rescued by the Pro Heroes? This small group of young people have been through hell for most of their life, getting chemicals injected into them, chained down, hit with different tough materials, and more horrible tests. That was until some Pro Heroes showed up and rescued the 4 people, along with many others that might've been among the facility. Although the experimented teens were rescued, they seem to have a big distrust toward the heroes. To get their trust will be a tough task, and possibly a dangerous one. The Specials does not belong to me, but to Darkmoon the Direwolf. MHA belongs to its rightful owner. The characters in this story do not belong to me except for Raven. Small warning: this story will include ships, some of which are lgbtq, and some canon ships ⚠️TRIGGER WARNING⚠️: mentions of chemicals/drugs, abuse, downgrading, profanity, trauma, very upsetting backstories, and M*neta's shenanigans if any of the themes above make you uncomfortable then do NOT read. If I see a single complaint in the comments I will say "ya should've read the trigger warnings". I will update the story when Darkmoon updates hers, just to avoid the Specials characters being too different. And to finish this off, I will say that some characters MIGHT be acting out of character in some parts. Without much to do, I hope you enjoy the story, and PLEASE do check out "The Specials" by Darkmoon the Direwolf!

It's no secret that some people use their unique gifts to do good, and some use them to do evil. Your classic heroes and villains, if you will. But what about the middle people? The people born with powers, not the kinds that let you fly, or crush cars with your mind, or turn your enemies into puddles of goo before you, the ones that are not quite considered "super". What are they supposed to do? Their powers aren't strong enough to categorize them as hero or villain. Imagine Knife Man or Spoon Girl with the power to control cutlery, do you honestly think they would hold up in a fight against anyone else? Being a superhero without powers is hard enough, being a superhero with a useless super power is damn impossible. Andrew, Carter, and Heather knew that their unique abilities would be worthless if they made themselves full time heroes or villains. Instead, they use their "uselessness" to their advantage. The trio makes their living in their own respected fields, but they come together as the best band of thieves in the world. Nobody would ever suspect three seemingly innocent young adults of 45 high profile theft cases. There is nothing extraordinary about them after all, no crazy hair colors, no fire blasting out of their mouths. It's the perfect cover. When the group steals a valuable, but at the same time worthless, artifact from a museum in Tokyo, they find themselves caught in the crossfire between the National Superhero League and a new super villain on the rise. And since the heroes can't seem to be doing their one job right, the group steps out of the shadows and takes matters into their own hands.

Guns, revenge and buildings to bomb, what could go wrong? ✮ He came in, gun held out in front of him in one hand while the other was resting on his hip where a sharp dagger gleamed in the light. "Come on out little girl, why not make this easier for both of us. The agency you ran away from just want to have a little talk, that's all." She scoffed internally. Yeah right. Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. Not to mention the threat of a world war and ghost hanging above your head. Armed with sarcasm, wit, and a hell of a lot of aggressive intentions, it won't be too long till a sticky situation is all that's ahead of you. Sometimes, running head-first into a situation isn't the best idea. Instead, you gotta play a game. A deadly game where either you have all the pieces on the board, or you have nothing. [previously known as Espionage: double-cross] Thanks for reading :)

Her most lethal weapon is herself . . . • • • Agent Eleven was always a loyal Agent for the Division. Until she wasn't. Running and going rogue a year ago had definitely put her on their hit list, but what happens when they find her again and force her back to the very world she ran from? Forced to join the elite team of Operatives and their domineering leader with a knack for watching her too closely, she has to tread lightly to finish what she started. Because little do the team know, they weren't the masterminds behind her return. And she isn't leaving again until she finds out the truth about what happened a year ago, and keep her identity a secret while she's at it. With a too hot for his own good leader, his best friend who seems to see too much and two seemingly innocent operatives by her side, will Agent Eleven uncover the truth? And what will she do once she realises she's captured the attention of the very serial killer her team is assigned to hunt? This plan might just be her stupidest yet, and it might just be the one that's gets her killed. • • • I watch from the corner of my eyes as he brings the dagger up to the straps of my top, slipping it under the thin fabric. "There's just a few things in my way." He hushes, dark eyes hooded. He slices through the fabric in one quick swipe, the strap hanging limply as he moves to the next one and repeats the process. • • • Cover by Quirky Circe on Etsy Highest ranking #1 in spy 1/1/2020 (almost 4 years of this - holy hell) #1 in action- adventure 3/1/2020 #1 in romance 18/1/2022 #1 in adventure 18/1/2022 # in secretagent 21/2/2022 #1 in badassreads 21/4/2023 #1 in action-romance 19/8/23 Hit 1M reads on 9/3/2021 Completed final edit on 13/09/2022
